Meet our Public Sector team at Technet Augusta 2024

We’re excited to announce our participation in Technet Augusta 2024 from 19 to 22 August. We’re looking forward to meeting many of our partners and customers in person. Stop by our booth to join the conversation on critical topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and open-source innovation.

Secure your AI stack

We understand the difficulty of ensuring compliance and security while building AI applications and models at scale. At Technet, we will showcase Canonical’s approach to securing the full AI stack. We secure and maintain the widest open-source software library, which comprises solutions like Charmed Kubeflow, MLFlow, Spark and Kafka. With reliable security patching and up to 10 years of support, we simplify the AI journey with an integrated and secure stack.

Additionally, Canonical provides the trusted expertise and building blocks you need to get started with AI and run projects at scale. Our workshops can help you design AI infrastructure for any use case – from the data centre to the edge – to accelerate project delivery, and optimise resource usage. Learn more here

To provide the most complete AI solutions to agencies, we’ve partnered with the leading hardware, silicon and cloud providers, such as NVIDIA, DELL, AWS, Google Cloud, HPE, Intel, Azure and more.

Cybersecurity with Ubuntu Pro

As part of our commitment to securing open source, last year, Canonical announced the general availability of the Ubuntu Pro subscription, which we will showcase at Technet. Ubuntu Pro secures an organisation’s Ubuntu estate from the OS to the application level and is available on-premise, in the cloud and in air-gapped environments. Across your stack, you can benefit from automated security patching, auditing, access management and compliance. Ubuntu Pro delivers FIPS compliance and automation to meet security standards such as DISA’s Ubuntu STIG, and CIS hardening via the Ubuntu Security Guide (USG).

Application security is a key concern across various industries, including the public sector. Many open source packages for applications and toolchains exist in a space with no guarantee or SLA for security patching. With Ubuntu Pro, you can overcome this challenge. With Pro, you gain access to patching and maintenance that covers over 23,000 open source applications.

Beyond access to a broader scope of security patches, Ubuntu Pro also includes access to Landscape.

Landscape is Canonical’s systems management solution for individuals or organisations that use Ubuntu at scale. It provides access to a wide range of administrative functions that encompass inventory, automation, hardening, compliance, reporting, and software distribution. In the context of FIPS, Landscape can inventory cryptography software that is used across your estate, and also be configured to monitor FIPS compliance over time.

See our solutions in action!

Come meet our team at booth R1212 – we’ll be running demos throughout the event.

Learn more about security patching best practices and see how to deploy Landscape to manage Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core clients, apply Livepatch to fix a kernel vulnerability, and patch packages with security fixes from Ubuntu Pro.

You can also see MicroCloud in action, which offers virtualisation and containerisation (LXD), distributed storage (Ceph) and software-defined networking (OVN), all wrapped up in a simple deployment and easy-to-use web interface. At the booth, we will show how to set up and administer a compliant Microcloud running on a FIPS-enabled kernel. We’ll cover launching machines, containers, and managing the cloud in restricted environments.

Schedule a meeting or in-person demo.

Schedule a meeting with our Federal Director, Devin Breen, and DoD Field Sales Representative, Hannah Watson, for an in-person discussion or a demo!
