What to expect from Canonical at OSXP 2023

96% of new software projects rely on open source components.

Open source is on the rise in the modern enterprise landscape, and as the publisher of Ubuntu, Canonical is at the forefront of this transformation, leading the way in open source security, support and services.

At OSXP, our team will be sharing their open source expertise across AI, machine learning, cloud and IoT, with demos ranging from a conversational assistant reminiscent of ChatGPT to a wide range of use cases for Ubuntu Core in the realm of industry & IoT.

Join our talks

We’ll be presenting three talks over the course of the conference, each in a different format.

[Session] How to build LLMs with open source

Join our very own Rob Gibbon, who will present an informative session on automating Large Language Models and developing chat-based and multimodal model assistants in “How to build LLMs with open source”.

Expect some insightful demonstrations using open source projects such as Spark, Kubeflow, MLFlow and OpenSearch, as well as LLM-specific open models and tools like Falcon, TRL, OpenAssistant and PEFT.

[Panel] Security on Embedded Systems

Our IoT expert and field engineer, Jean-Charles Verdié, will participate in a panel discussion around security on embedded systems.

Having created Ubuntu Core as the operating system optimised for IoT and Edge, we know the value of a secure, application-centric, tamper-resistant and hardened environment. So join us to learn more about securing your own IoT ecosystem.

[Workshop] Linux, Openstack, Kubernetes & Apps: How to secure open source

The biggest question around open source is always its security. What if we told you you can have an enterprise-grade, secure full stack without needing to stay up at night worried about security breaches?

In this workshop, Canonical’s Reg Deraed, Continental Europe Sales Director, will take you through modernising your cloud infrastructure with open source and ensuring its security through various scenarios.
